In the state of Ohio, there is no law prohibiting the open carry of a firearm. This means that the act of carrying a gun, whether it's a handgun on your hip, or a rifle or shotgun slung over your shoulder, is perfectly legal.
While this method of carrying a gun is not very common, it is a protected method of carry for those that can not afford the training costs and permit fees for obtaining an Ohio Concealed Handgun License. Open Carry is my preferred method because I'm just too fat to comfortably conceal most handguns.
